Hi! I’m Cristina — but my friends call me Cris.
I’m a surface pattern designer with over 15 years of experience creating artwork, spanning from international brands to independent clients. You may have seen my work for fashion brands such as Zara, Loewe, and Pepe Jeans London, as well as through private labels sold at Walmart, Macy’s, and Hudson’s Bay among others.
My personal wholesale stationery line has been carried by the Brooklyn Museum, the Delaware Art Museum, The Latest Scoop in Canada, and a growing number of independent retailers across the U.S., UK, and Canada.
Originally from Spain, I began my design journey in Madrid, which led me to work and travel around the world. Since 2015, I’ve proudly called New York City home.
My work is created from original paintings, using a combination of acrylics, gouache and watercolors. The art then gets scanned, cleaned and processed digitally using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.You will often find me painting on any available surface!
With two young kids and a dog, our days are filled with hikes, stick collections piling up around the house, and endless questions about all the “whys” and “hows” of the world — a constant source of inspiration for me.
When I’m not painting, you can find me dyeing fabric or gardening — two pastimes that recharge me and keep my creativity blooming.
